Voice in My e-Portfolio

"If you want to contribute to your e-Portfolio/blog on a regular basis you need to accept the fact that it will never be finished! The reason I can say this is that I believe that I will never stop learning so I will always have something new to include in my e-Portfolio. This idea is also important because once you accept the fact that your posts will never be perfect you can publish your work more quickly and over the years see how much you have grown" (Harapnuik, 2015).

When I began the ADL program, one of the things that I was most concerned about was the e-Portfolio.  I had never had much luck in the past with developing a teacher web page or a class web page.  Each iteration of a teacher web page at school was often abandoned by the district and I never got the chance to really develop a successful on line portfolio.  As my journey through the program has continued, so has my journey through the development of my e portfolio.  I tried Wordpress and Wix, but I finally landed on Webador.  Although it has been a challenge, I have solved many of the issues that I have encountered in the creation of my e-portfolio.  One of the things I found frustrating during the program, was the ambiguous guidance I received early on from my professors concerning my e-portfolio. It was then I realized that they were not being elusive about the direction of my e-portfolio, but they were giving me the opportunity to express my Voice in the creation of my e-portfolio. I have had to learn to trust my instincts and to understand that my professors are not looking for what they want, but looking for how I have expressed myself in the construction of my e-portfolio.

Since Voice is one of the key components of COVA+CSLE, I have tried to display my personality, viewpoints, and values in the creation of my e-portfolio.  I have tried to keep the tone of my portfolio somewhat conversational while exhibiting the necessary scholarship for the required components.

As I look forward, I see that my e-portfolio will continue to be a space for digital leadership. I will continue to develop my weekly reflections while I document my learning and leading journey. It will be a space for me to document the leadership opportunities and reflect on my tribulations and triumphs. The ability for reflection on a regular basis will be one of the tools that I will use for my continued improvement and development as a digital leader. My e-portfolio will be a space for me to demonstrate my adaptability as a life long learner. My e-portfolio will be a space for professional collaboration and discussion.

I can use my e-portfolio as a model for my learners as I lead them on their COVA+CSLE journeys. This will be an essential tool for my students in the Blended/Flipped classroom concept that I am striving for in my innovation plan.

The continued development of my e-portfolio will help me grow as a digital leader
