My EDLD 5302 Reflection:

As I look back on the course guidelines, I am reminded just how far I have come thus far.  As one of the first steps into my journey for a Master's degree, this program has already become so much more than that.  It is not the journey toward a degree, but a journey toward a philosophy of growth through choice, ownership, and voice.  Freedom to express myself has become the focus of my activities in the course. The collaboration that I have had with the other members of my cohort has been amazing.  I never thought that I could have created this ePortfolio almost entirely on my own.  I say almost entirely because my classmates have had a great deal of observation and input into this. It has been the creation of this ePortfolio that will allow me to better communicate my my colleagues and others.  This ePortfolio is also an example of the Growth Mindset because I did not expect to be able to do this to the extent I have.  I understand that there are improvements to be made, and I look forward to making them with the help of my Learning Networks in the Future.

Growth Mindset Plan:

Dweck's Growth Mindset and the Power of 'Yet' have helped me to look at the possibilities that await both my students and me and also in my family life.  It is the potential in all of us that we need to recognize.

My Learning Manifesto:

I have always seen my self as a 'student of life.' But it is in recognizing the fact that I need to have the Learner's mindset that is most important.
